Do you expect to see any major change in revenue estimates for YTL Power International Berhad?

YTL Power International Berhad is expected to see moderate growth in revenue in the upcoming fiscal years, building on recent gains. For the fiscal year ending in 2024, revenue reached 22.32 billion MYR, a 1.96% increase, though there was a notable 10.53% drop in quarterly revenue compared to the same period the previous year. Despite this fluctuation, full-year revenue is forecast to grow to about 23.54 billion MYR in 2024 and 24.06 billion MYR in 2025, reflecting steady growth due to higher contributions from its utilities and investment segments, especially in Singapore and water and sewerage services.

However, profitability metrics reveal mixed performance across segments, with strong growth in the Singapore merchant utilities business but weaker returns from its water and sewerage operations. The company also anticipates growth in profit margins, with pre-tax profit margins holding around 19% for 2024, bolstered by higher efficiency in some segments despite challenges in others, such as the telco business.

These revenue and margin projections suggest that while the company may face challenges in some areas, overall revenue and earnings should continue on an upward trajectory, albeit at a slower growth rate than in previous years.
