What do you think about SpaceX's Starlink hitting 4 million customers this week?

SpaceX's Starlink has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 4 million customers worldwide. This rapid growth—gaining a million users in just four months—demonstrates Starlink's expanding influence in providing high-speed satellite internet, especially in underserved and remote areas. The service, which launched in 2020, has now deployed over 6,400 satellites to support its global network. Starlink's subscriber base spans over 100 countries and includes both residential and enterprise customers, with key partnerships in sectors like airlines and cruise lines.

However, while this achievement is a major success for SpaceX, it hasn't been without controversy. Astronomers have raised concerns about the increasing number of Starlink satellites interfering with astronomical observations, particularly due to light pollution and unintended radio signal interference. Despite these concerns, Starlink continues to grow, positioning itself ahead of competitors like OneWeb and Amazon's upcoming Project Kuiper, which is still in development.
