Do you think the "click-to-cancel" rule by the FTC will lead to higher costs for consumers as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce suggested?

The "click-to-cancel" rule proposed by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is designed to make it easier for consumers to cancel subscriptions by requiring companies to offer a simple, user-friendly cancellation process similar to how people can easily sign up. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has raised concerns that this rule could lead to higher costs for consumers because businesses might pass on the costs of compliance, such as redesigning websites and adjusting customer service systems. However, whether this will actually lead to higher prices for consumers is debatable. Proponents of the rule argue that it will increase competition and transparency, as businesses will no longer be able to rely on difficult cancellation processes to retain customers. This could force companies to improve service quality and pricing to retain subscribers. On the other hand, if companies incur significant costs to comply, some might pass these expenses on to consumers, at least in the short t...

What is the use of the Moon to the Earth?

The Moon plays several important roles for the Earth, including: 1. Stabilizing the Earth's tilt: The Moon helps stabilize the tilt of the Earth's axis, leading to relatively stable weather patterns over long periods of time. Without the Moon, the Earth's tilt would change dramatically, causing extreme climate fluctuations. 2. Tides: The Moon's gravity is the primary force that causes tides on Earth. These tidal forces shape ecosystems, affecting marine life, coastal habitats, and human activities along the coast. 3. Slowing down the Earth's rotation: The moon's gravitational interaction gradually slows down the Earth's rotation. This leads to lengthening the days by billions of years. 4. Night light: The moon reflects sunlight, providing light at night, which is important for humans and animals to navigate and work before artificial light. 5. Protection from impacts: The Moon acts as a shield, blocking or redirecting some co...

What if Doctor Strange didn’t give Thanos the Time Stone?

Had Doctor Strange not given Thanos the Time Stone in Avengers: Infinity War, some significant changes to the timeline could have occurred: 1. Thanos would still be the winner (in the short term): Even without the Time Stone, Thanos is still extremely powerful. He had five of the six Infinity Stones when he confronted Doctor Strange on Titan, and was able to overpower the remaining Avengers and Guardians to take the Time Stone by force. Alternatively, Thanos could have found another way to obtain the Time Stone, such as threatening to kill the other Avengers or the people of Earth. 2. Greater Loss of Life: Had Doctor Strange refused to hand over the Time Stone, Thanos could have killed more Avengers or caused worse

I am currently feeling lost in life and lacking direction.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu  ʿ alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. First of all, it is important to realize that Allah has bestowed upon you the greatest gift of all, which is Islam and Iman. Remember to never lose faith, for as long as you have Islam and Iman, Allah’s door of mercy will always remain open for you. 53 Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.”  (Sura Zumar: 53) In another verse He reminds us, وَلَا تَيْأَسُوا مِن رَّوْحِ اللَّهِ  يوسف: 87 …and despair not of the mercy of Allah… [Sura Yusuf: 87] As believers, we all experience moments of laziness, depression...
