**For the cream cheese frosting:**

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened

- 4 cups powdered sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract



Instructions


**Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Pans**

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.


**Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients**

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Set aside.
