Discover It offers a Cashback Match program where Discover matches all the cashback earned during the first 12 months of opening the account.


You do not need to sign up for it; it is automatically applied.




2. Canceling or Opting Out:


You cannot directly cancel or opt-out of the Cashback Match program. However, if you no longer wish to participate, you can simply avoid using the card to earn cashback. Keep in mind, you’ll still be automatically matched for any cashback earned during that first year.




3. Closing the Account:


If you wish to completely end your relationship with Discover, you can cancel your Discover It credit card. Contact Discover customer service at 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683) to initiate the cancellation.


Be aware that canceling the account before the first year ends will forfeit your cashback match rewards.




4. Other Considerations:


If your concern is related to managing cashback benefits or card features, you can always contact Discover for assistance or use their online account management tools to make adjustments.
